Cooperation and Response Rate
We are determined to obtain high cooperation and response rates by repeated callbacks to hard-to-reach populations. While response rates have declined in recent years, we achieve industry acceptable response rates through diligence and persistence. Cooperation rates for some samples have exceeded 70 percent for specific projects.
Questionnaire design is an art, based in science and experience. Research has shown that question wording, question sequence and response scales can trigger different responses. Oppenheim Research will expertly execute the appropriate methodology to ask the best questions so that you get the most usable data for analysis.
Quality Data Collection and Verification
Emphasis is placed on reliability, accuracy and timeliness. We hire research associates carefully and invest in their training. Interviewers complete extensive training, are regularly monitored via video and audio equipment, and supervisors provide ongoing feedback. Interviewers conduct thorough interviews understanding the importance of collecting objective data that reflects the respondents’ opinions, not theirs. We also verify completed interviews. All data collection and tabulation are conducted in-house with Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing technology or key entry.
